Cyber and Mobile Umbrella Award for Best Advertising in Web and Mobile
The Aim of the Festival
With the Cyber & Mobile Umbrella Award for Best Advertising in Web and Mobile MediaMixx’09 opens a new era of advertising. This award is one of the first granted to the youngest media channels in the advertising world – the World Wide Web and the omnipresent mobile phone – and offer digital communication experts from all countries of the Central Eastern and South Eastern Europe to present their best, most creative and/or most efficient work.
Please read all regulations carefully before you fill in the entry form.
After filling the entry form the Regulations automatically will be considered as an official agreement between Mediamixx Group and the participant.

Competition
Participants: The Festival is open to all parties involved in digital and mobile communications such as: advertising agencies, web design agencies, advertisers etc. but also clients investing in digital advertising and marketing activities.Geographical zones: CEE and SEE region, especially from Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Russia, Albania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary, Czech, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, White Russia and Austria.
Period: All advertising or work entered must have been launched for the first time between 1st of May 2008 and 30th of April 2009.
All entries must have been made within the context of a normal paying contract with the client, except in the categories for Social concerns/matters. That client must have paid for all or the majority of the media costs. The Festival reserves the right to request a full media schedule from each entrant company to verify the authenticity of the campaign in the event that entry is a winner.

Dates and location
The 15th International MediaMixx09 Festival will take place in Albena, Bulgaria from Wednesday 3rd to Sunday 7th of June 2009. All entries will be shown online on http://www.mediamixx.info. The Cyber & Mobile Umbrella Awards Ceremony will take place on Friday 5th of June 2009.Judging:
An International Jury, made up of Agencies and Clients will select the award-winning entries.
In the below listed categories, the entering party has to make a personal presentation in front of the Jury and the audience with 5 minutes duration (maximum):

“most creative online advertising campaign for any brand or product”,
“online advertising campaign for media product”
“online campaign for social concerns/matters”
“mobile advertising campaign”
The detailed presentations’ schedule will be announced on 20th of May 2009 on http://www.mediamixx.info.
The campaigns will be judged on several criteria:
- creativity/ design/ innovation
- effectiveness
- relevance of the idea
- quality of execution/usability
Depending on the category the judging focus is different.
Principle of evaluation is:
The entries which, by voting of the jury gather the most points (according to the defined maximum in each category), will be ranked best.
In all categories, which judging system has effectiveness focus, all entries must include as much information about the results and effectiveness as possible, ideally with official rates/numbers of views/hits/forwards/spread/users etc.
The Jury's final discussion of the best ranked entries sets the basis for the awarding for a Cyber & Mobile Umbrella. The decision of the Jury in all matters relating to the awarding of prizes will be final and binding.
A member of the jury cannot vote for one of his campaigns.

Awards
In the competition for best advertising in web and mobile, the participants are competing for First Prize in each individual category, which will be given during a special Small Awards Ceremony.The Jury will adjudge, among all the participants in all categories, Cyber & Mobile Umbrella Award for Best advertising in web and Cyber & Mobile Umbrella Award for Best advertising in mobile, which will be given during the Gala Ceremony on Saturday 6th of June 2009.

Bank transfers will be made to the Mediamixx Group Ltd. account specified in the payment form.
It is imperative that you cover all bank charges; otherwise, your entries will be refused. Please ensure that payment is made in EUR or BGN and arrives at our bank account within 5 days period after the correct filling of the entry form.
If the payment is not completed in the specified period the entry will be automatically canceled.
Each website, online ad, viral or mobile application constitutes ONE entry. Online ads, e-mails and virals or series of banners which form one campaign and participate in the campaign category, must be entered and paid for as one entry.
But 3 banners which form one campaign, and are entered in the banner category must be paid as 3 separate entries.
Entry requirements and delivery details
Obligatory:
- Please submit a PDF file of your Power Point presentation of 1500 words maximum, in English language, explaining/illustrating the entry, and providing the following information:
- objective
- strategy / relevance
- creation
- realization / innovation
- performance (qualitative and quantitative) – please indicate source of information.
- Please submit one URL per entry that leads the viewer straight into your entry.
- Your entry must be accessible without login or password.
- All banner and pop up entries must show the entry in the context of a webpage as it was originally displayed.
- Mobile entries may also be presented with a functioning WAP-emulator environment.
- Please make sure that your entry is accessible online by 11th of May 2009 at the latest and until the end of July 2009.

Additional remarks:
- In order to assure a good understanding of the campaign by the jury, we advise to provide an English version or an original version with English subtitles. It will be in your interest to explain or translate any specific word play or local social, cultural or political references and nuances.
- Entries which cannot be accessed for judging due to long periods of server downtime will not be considered by the Jury at a later time.
- The Jury will not be allowed to move entries between categories during the judging.
Instructions how to enter online correctly

- Fill in the online participation form and give a short summary of your entry (this will be published in the Festival catalogue and on http://www.mediamixx.info, 300 letters maximum)
- Use English language only
- Save the form
- Upload the entry materials (PDF of your Power Point presentation, screenshot(s) JPG and EPS (TIFF) for the purposes of the Award Ceremony)
- Fill in the online payment form your company details for invoice
- All requested entry material must be uploaded on our website http://www.mediamixx.info, no later than 11th of May 2009
Legal remarks:
By completing the entry form, the entrants declare their consent for using all the materials and to broadcast, screen and exhibit a fragment or the whole material of the presented entry for informational publicity, as well as to broadcast, screen and exhibit the entry for public presentation within the framework of the competition program. The Festival will also have the right to use fragments of the entry in relation to Mediamixx’09 brand (events, advertisements, release of parts in radio programs, documentation, Internet, etc.) free of charge and without any possible future claims by third parties.These Rules are available in Bulgarian and English but if any disputes arise, the English version will prevail.
By filling out and signing the entry form the participant agrees to full acceptance of the conditions set forth in these Rules. ----
